Driver has a Mare as horsebox gets stuck under Swindon's most battered bridge
There's been plenty of articulated lorries, delivery vans and the odd doubledecker but never a horsebox crashing into Swindon's most battered bridge - until today.
But at just after 5pm tonight the driver of this horse transporter definitely had a 'mare' when trying to drive under Whitehouse Bridge.
Fortunately the 'mane' concern for any horses inside was short-lived when it was confirmed the lorry was empty.
But after Police action and the tyres were let down to allow the horsebox to get out, 'tail' backs were limited and the 'whoah-d' wasn't closed 'furlong'.
